FIREWIND Confirmed For Greece's GAGARIN OPEN AIR
May 29, 2007Greek metallers FIREWIND have been confirmed for Gagarin Open Air, a new festival which will take place July 5-11 at Hellenikon Complex, Baseball Court, Greece. Also scheduled to appear are PARADISE LOST, TYPE O NEGATIVE, ROTTING CHRIST and JOE SATRIANI. PARADISE LOST, TYPE O NEGATIVE and ROTTING CHRIST will perform on July 5 while SATRIANI and FIREWIND are slated to play on July 11.
Gagarin Open Air will feature many artists from various musical genres (not just metal).
In other news, a couple of small changes have been made to FIREWIND's upcoming North American itinerary. The band's schedule is now as follows:

FIREWIND recently completed work on a video for the song "Breaking the Silence" featuring a guest appearance by female singer Tara Teresa. The clip is being helmed by acclaimed director Patric Ullaeus (LACUNA COIL, IN FLAMES, DIMMU BORGIR),who previously worked with the group on their video for the track "Falling to Pieces".
FIREWIND singer Apollo Papathanasio was forced to sit out a part of the band's World Allegiance Tour this past spring due to a family emergency. His temporary replacement for the the last seven dates of the band's European tour with ANGRA and POWERQUEST was Henning Basse of METALIUM.
